USELESS started in 2004 as a Brooklyn-based art and music zine. In 2005, it opened up to London, Paris and other European cities, and its focus shifted towards contemporary art. Today, USELESS is an artist-run, independent, art and culture newspaper based in New York and London. Each bi-annual issue is comprised of original essays, interviews, photography and illustrations that relate to a theme. USELESS specializes in being general, irreverent, versatile, enthusiastic and is a bit of a reluctant daredevil. Our readers work in the creative industries of art, music, fashion and entertainment. You can find USELESS in museum shops and fine bookstores in more than fifteen different countries.
